This is what we're fighting for at Harbourside Port Stephens

Friday 19 June, 2026

Dear member,

Last week, your HSU bargaining team met with management to present and discuss the Log of Claims.

The Log of Claims have been developed by HSU members through workplace conversations, member feedback and consultation. They reflect the issues that matter most to workers at Harbourside Port Stephens.

The top priorities for HSU members are a decent pay increase, improved staffing and workload management, recognition of additional responsibilities, and better conditions at work – including stronger union rights and improved leave entitlements. For the full list of our claims click here.

Please share these claims with your colleagues so everyone knows what HSU members are fighting for in our new enterprise agreement.

Management will now consider our claims and will provide a response at the next bargaining meeting.

If you have any questions or would like to become more involved in the bargaining process, please contact your workplace delegate or HSU Organiser.

If your colleagues are not yet HSU members, encourage them to join the union and be part of the campaign for better pay and conditions at Harbourside Port Stephens. New members can join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join or by calling 1300 478 679.

HSU members will be kept updated as bargaining progresses
