Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAOD) Restructure at NSW Health

Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs (CAOD) Restructure at NSW Health

Monday 2 March, 2026

A restructure within the Centre for Alcohol and Other Drugs is being proposed by NSW Health. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
  • The proposal involves significant changes to the organisational structure which the Ministry of Health (MOH) claims would be more aligned to core functions and allow for better health outcomes.
  • The proposed structure would create 9 new non-executive roles, 1 senior staff specialist role, and 3 new management roles (1 HSSG HSM5, 1 HSSG HSM 4, 1 Crown 7/8)
  • The proposal would also see 11 roles transfer from the CAOD to the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence (CEE).
