Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment – Share Your Feedback

Dear member, As you are aware, the NSW Government is undertaking a significant redevelopment of Fairfield Hospital with a total budget of approximately $630 million (Fairfield Hospital Redevelopment | NSW Government). As part of the development process, regular meetings have commenced with the HSU, South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) and Health Infrastructure NSW. The last consultation meeting was held on Thursday 26 March 2026 and was attended by HSU representatives. You can find the attached minutes here. The HSU has previously raised the need for Convex safety mirrors, to ensure the work health and safety of members, particularly in patient facing roles in wards. SWSLHD has committed to having this incorporated into the planning process. Share your feedback for the next meeting The next meeting with SWSLHD and Health Infrastructure NSW is on Monday 22 June 2026. Have your say about what you want to see in the redeveloped Fairfield Hospital. The more active members are with the redevelopment process, the more we can address and resolve potential problems.
