The Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) has notified the HSU of proposed changes to reporting lines within the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program at the Kids Cancer Centre, and has invited HSU feedback.
SCHN has decided that the ZERO Program now requires a dedicated leadership structure to ensure it can keep up with the substantial growth over the last 18 months. The Senior Clinical Research Associate (HSM2) position was recently introduced to provide direct line management for associated staff, and this proposal would transfer specific line-management responsibilities from the KOALA manager to the HSM2 role above.
The proposed change is purely a change to reporting lines and there would be no changes to FTE, classifications, or job security.
