Allied Health Professionals Endorse Proposed Award

Congratulations HSU members! Members have voted to endorse the draft Clinical and Associated Professionals (State) Award.
Members across all classifications overwhelmingly endorsed the proposed Award, the classification structure, and the backpay claim to 1 July 2025. To check out how your classification voted, click here.
The endorsed Clinical and Associated Professionals (State) Award will be provided to the IRC and will form the basis of HSU members’ claims in the upcoming IRC hearings. The Award will be provided to members after it is filed with the IRC.
This is an important vote. It shows that HSU members are strong and unified. There is a clear mandate for the next stage of proceedings. This result reflects the extensive work undertaken over the past four months during conciliation, as well as the careful work members have done over the last three years to draft these Awards.
What happens next?
The HSU will file this endorsed Award in line with IRC directions. Arbitration on outstanding matters is scheduled to commence in November this year.
This outcome demonstrates the strength of collective decision-making. When members engage, consider the detail, and vote in large numbers, it directly shapes the direction of negotiations and strengthens our position at the table.
