Biari rostering system update at Home & Community Care ACT
Wednesday 29 April, 2026
Dear member,
Uniting leadership provided additional detail and answered questions about the imminent rollout of the Biarai system in the ACT during a staff meeting on 28 April 2026.
Uniting have stated they expect issues with the implementation of the system whilst they continue to improve the quality of the data that is utilised by the AI rostering program.
There are ways that members can influence the quality of client rostering and unnecessary support worker travel requirements!
- Submit an exemption request for each client you believe should receive special consideration. Uniting Manager Jasmine Kaur has committed to providing a quick reference guide to help you understand who may be eligible for exemption from Biari rostering.
- Lodge QASAR reports when issues are identified.
- Encourage clients and families to raise concerns and provide feedback to their Care Partner.
The more members speaking up, the louder we are!
