Uniting’s Biarri Rostering Tool – Is it working for you?

Uniting’s Biarri Rostering Tool – Is it working for you?

Tuesday 5 May, 2026

Dear member,

Recently Uniting launched a new AI rostering tool, Biarri, which is being used to help scheduled Home and Community Care visits.

HSU members, across multiple regions, have reported serious concerns with the new system, including:
  • Inappropriate travel time between clients & excessive travel distances
  • Poor continuity between regular carers and clients
  • Issues for clients with special care needs
Bieri issues log

If you are experiencing any issues with the new system, please log these concerns with both Uniting and the HSU.

To do so, simply send an email with a summary of the issue and include:
  1. Your local manager
  2. Your HR Business Parter
  3. The HSU aged care email: agedcare@hsu.asn.au
Home and Community staff are encouraged to speak up if you are experiencing issues – the more workers who speak up together, the stronger your collective voice at work!

If you are not yet an HSU member, join the union today and stand up for your rights at work. New members can join online at www.hsu.asn.au/join
