Government makes an offer to Non-Clinical Control Centre Officers; indicative vote shows members won’t be split.
Wednesday 13 May, 2026
On Friday 8th May, ADHSU delegates finally received a pay offer from the government to resolve the Non-Clinical Control Centre Officer Award. Members can read this offer here. This offer is contingent on Control Centre Officers going back into a combined award with their paramedic colleagues and stopping the paramedics seeking any improved conditions in FY26/27.
ADHSU members from Control met today on zoom to hear about the offer from delegates and union staff, a link to a recording can be found below. At this meeting delegates and members discussed the offer, which includes a pay increase and equalised annual leave, but firmly agreed, through an indicative vote, that it should not be at the expense of their paramedic colleagues’ ability to fight in this year.
Often an employer will make an offer to a small but important group, on the proviso that they trade out another group of workers. Each time workers allow an employer to split them, it signals that they can be pitted against each other again. ADHSU members are too strong for that. The government has made an offer with caveats, ADHSU members in Control can return the serve with their own caveats saying: the offer will be accepted but only if Control stays in a separate award, with no implications for paramedics.
While the zoom meeting gave a clear indication of members’ leaning, it is essential that all members vote and have their say. To vote you must have your HSU member number, this is for internal office use only to ensure on Non-Clinical Control members vote. LINK TO THE VOTE HERE. The vote closes on 1500, 20 May.
