Guide Dogs EA: Members Vote to Reject the Offer

Dear member,
Following the recent HSU member survey regarding the proposed Guide Dogs enterprise agreement offer, every member who participated in the survey voted to reject the offer.
Members made it clear that the proposed agreement is not good enough.
Workers have raised serious concerns that the wage offer fails to keep up with rising costs of living and does not properly recognise the work performed by Guide Dogs staff. Members also remain concerned that management has rejected almost all union claims raised throughout bargaining.
HSU members are voting NO to the proposed agreement!
Guide Dogs has advised that:
- The access period will commence on Friday 22 May 2026
- Voting will open at 9:00am AEST on Monday 1 June 2026
- Voting will close at 5:00pm AEST on Friday 5 June 2026
The access period is an important part of the bargaining process. During this time, management is required to properly explain the terms of the proposed agreement, so workers are fully informed about what they are being asked to vote on.
A NO vote means workers are standing together to demand a better agreement and better outcomes.
