Guide Dogs Bargaining Update – Final Offer Meeting

Guide Dogs has now provided HSU members with what it says is its final offer for your new Enterprise Agreement.
Management has responded to your full log of claims, provided a draft agreement, and is preparing to move towards finalising the process and taking the agreement to a staff vote.
Your HSU Bargaining Committee is currently reviewing the proposal and consulting with members about what has been offered, what has been rejected, and what this agreement would mean for workers across Guide Dogs.
Wages
The proposal includes wage increases across all classification streams from 1 July 2026. Most classifications would receive increases between 3% and 6%, with some workers receiving higher increases including:
- 10% increases for Dog Care Specialist classifications
- 7.5% increases for Puppy Development Advisor classifications
HSU members will review the full wage offer and proposed agreement before any vote takes place.
The proposed agreement includes wage increases over the life of the agreement. HSU members will be meeting to discuss the detail of the wage offer, how it compares to current conditions and sector standards, and whether members believe the offer is good enough.
HSU members will meet online to discuss the offer and determine the union position ahead of any vote.

Where: Online via Teams This meeting is an important opportunity for members to review the final offer, ask questions, discuss the proposed agreement, and decide the next steps collectively before any vote takes place.
