Lifeblood underwhelming in negotiations

Lifeblood underwhelming in negotiations

Tuesday 30 June 2026

Negotiations with Lifeblood have been underwhelming. Management are demanding a lot while offering little in return, with all staff in processing centres under the same agreement. Your union representatives have developed a combined HSU Log of Claims with other branches, to be presented in the next bargaining round. You can read it HERE.

Lifeblood have presented some of their claims, including the following wages offer:
  • Year 1: A flat wage increase of 3.5%
  • Year 2: A flat wage increase of 4%
  • Year 3: Transition to a pay-for-performance model, where increases are linked to individual outcomes with a minimum 2% increase. Higher Thrive outcomes will receive a higher wage increase (3.5%) and a possible one-off lump sum payment. Please note that those deemed to fall into the highest categories (‘Raising the Bar’ and ‘Changing the Game’) will be capped at 15% of overall staff.
  • Changes to on-call arrangements that will leave you with less money in your pocket

Lifeblood is taking you for granted! They are proposing big changes and low wages with significant consequences for years to come. Is it worth the risk?

We will go backwards if we don’t draw a line in the sand. We can’t wait to act.

If you want to get involved or have any questions, please reach out to your HSU Organiser Andrei on 0417 134 715 or your Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.
