New Arcare Enterprise Agreement Approved

The Fair Work Commission has now approved the new Arcare Enterprise Agreement, meaning the improved wages and conditions voted for by HSU members will now come into effect.
 
This outcome follows a long bargaining process where members stood together to secure improvements to pay and workplace entitlements.
 
Key improvements include:
  • 3% pay increases each year of the agreement, with the first increase backdated to the first full pay period after 1 November 2024.
  • Paid parental leave increased, Family and Domestic Violence Leave increased to 20 days per year, and paid infectious diseases leave during workplace outbreaks.
  • Introduction of a Buddy Shift allowance.
