Northern Beaches Hospital returns to public hands!

Dear member,
Today Northern Beaches Hospital returns to public hands. This is the culmination of years of campaigning by HSU members and the broader community.
NBH will now be what our community deserves – a world class public hospital that offers healthcare to everyone who needs it. A hospital that delivers on patient outcomes not private profit.
Because of members’ hard work, the NSW Government has legislated that no Government can enter into a public private partnership for the building or operation of an acute public hospital.
Today is an exciting day. But like any change we know there will be some challenges along the way and there is still more work to be done. Union members will stand together every step of the way to support and advocate for each other during this transition.
