Respiratory Protection Program, Staff Safety and Recovery Restructure at Illawarra Shoalhaven LHD (ISLHD)

ISLHD has notified the HSU of a proposed restructure within the Respiratory Protection Program which sits within the People & Culture Directorate. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
  • Management claim that following a prior cancellation of consultation on this matter in 2025, a further Fit Test Targeting Model review has been conducted which recommends changes.
  • The proposed change would see a reduction of 1 FTE to the Fit Test Assessor (HM1) role.
  • Management claim this proposal comes due to a recent reduction in numbers for staff targeted for fit testing, with this trend expected to continue.
