Support Services Staffing Enhancement at Gilgandra Multi-Purpose Service (MPS)

Dear member,
Western NSW LHD (WNSWLHD) has notified the HSU of staffing changes at Gilgandra MPS. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- In response to the advocacy of HSU members, the District has undertaken a review and determined that the service requires an uplift in Hospital Assistant Grade 2 positions to support cleaning and catering functions.
- The staffing uplift is however only minor, with a change from 5.6 FTE to 5.89 FTE (increase in 0.29 FTE).
- The District advises that it is a priority to recruit into the additional HA2 position, and further consultation will occur in relation to any revisions to ways of working to ensure the efficiency gain is realised.
