Time to Vote – Allied Health Award Conciliation Outcomes and Arbitration Items

Tuesday 28 April, 2026

Dear member,

Overview

HSU Allied Health Members are voting on the amended draft award which must be filed in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) no later than COB 4 May.

The amended award draft reflects the previous 4 months of intense conciliation the HSU Bargaining Team has conducted with the assistance of the IRC. It contains the following key items:

  • Several HSU claims which have reached in-principle agreement.
  • Several HSU claims which have been rejected and HSU members confirming these should proceed to arbitration.
  • An amended structure for the new awards which amalgamates the professional classifications into a single award (does not merge classifications).

Detail on Claims

The HSU Bargaining Team endorses members to vote yes on the amended draft award. Several key claims have been secured and those not agreed will be pursued to resolution through the 6-week arbitration in November and December this year.

The amalgamation into a single award is an important change – the following brief provides members with complete information on this change: https://bit.ly/award-briefing

Members can review the outcomes of conciliation with the following documents:
