Update Cater Care leave balance transfers from Anglican Care

Wednesday 3 December, 2025

HSU Members who transferred from Anglican Care to Cater Care raised concerns that their accrued additional leave and public holiday leave balances were unaccounted for post transfer. Additional concerns were raised about paid training, paid meeting attendance and uniform allocations.

Cater Care have confirmed the following:

  • All leave balances have been transferred, all former Anglican Care employees will receive a letter from payroll confirming their leave accrual balances by 5 December 2025, these accruals will be provided on a quarterly schedule moving forward. HSU Members can also request leave balances at any time.
  • Additional annual leave and public holiday leave will continue to accrue for former Anglican Care employees.
  • Meeting attendance outside of normal shift times is paid, employees must log in and out of Emplive in order to be paid for meeting attendance.
  • Training is to be completed during rostered working hours, speak with your Manager if you are unable to complete during rostered working hours.
  • Uniform allocations are 3 x sets of uniforms for full time employees and 2 x sets of uniforms for part time employees.
