Calvary Haydon Bargaining Update – Members’ Feedback Needed

HSU members at Calvary Haydon have received management’s latest responses to our union Log of Claims. These claims are the priorities determined by members, including better access to allowances, safer workplaces, predictable hours and fairer recognition for the work you and your colleagues do every day.
After several rounds of bargaining, management has indicated their current position is close to final.
Before any agreement goes to a vote, have your say – is the current proposal good enough?
- Your HSU bargaining team has prepared a traffic light summary of the claims and management’s responses so members can clearly see what has been agreed to, partially agreed to or rejected.
- Some improvements have been made during bargaining, including a 4-hour minimum engagement for shifts, new delegate training leave and 2 days paid professional development leave each year.
- However, many key claims raised by members were not agreed to, including stronger wage increases, improved infection control leave, predictable hours and several additional leave entitlements.
- Complete this quick survey to share if you would vote in favour of the agreement in its current form, or whether we should continue pushing for improvements.
