Catering/GSO roster change at ATCC & your rights
Monday 9 February, 2026
It has come to your Union’s attention that members in the catering and GSO streams underwent a major roster change without a proper consultation process.
HSU has raised concerns with your employer about the change. The employer has confirmed that contracted hours are being met but has acknowledged that the required consultation process did not occur and has committed to undertake consultation.
- Your employer has confirmed no team member has lost hours and contracted hours continue to be met.
- Your employer has confirmed that formal notice and consultation is required and will provide the proposed timeframes.
- Details will be circulated once dates are confirmed.
We are waiting for your employer to issue a new notification to affected employees and your Union with timeline of the consultation.
What you can do now
- Come to the union meetings and any member briefings.
- If you are invited to an individual or group consultation meeting, you can contact your Union for advice and/or representation at the meeting.
- Share any concerns about workload, staffing, or roster fairness with your organiser so we can represent you properly.
- For representation and advice, contact your Organiser Hyojung via hyojung.kim@hsu.asn.au or 0458 012 322, or the HSU Member Services Division via memberservices@hsu.asn.au.
Everyone affected by these changes needs to be a union member. Members deserve to have control over their working lives. Tell your colleagues now is the time to join.
