CCLHD ALLIED HEALTH SUB BRANCH TAKES A STAND ON REPORTING LINES

Dear member,
Recently the HSU wrote to CCLHD regarding members working in the Diagnostic Cardiography Unit calling for the Head of Department to be reclassified to a Chief Cardiac Physiologist, instead of the vacant Health Service Manager classification.
After approximately two weeks of no adequate response from CCLHD, members of the PAICT Sub Branch came together at their recent Sub Branch meeting and discussed this issue in depth. The Sub Branch endorsed the below:
- Condemning the action or lack of from CCLHD so far.
- Calling for a pause on advertising and recruitment of this position as HSM or NUM.
- The role to be re classified and advertised as a Chief Cardiac Physiologist.
- Placing this misclassification into dispute.
This is a brilliant display of rank and file action and solidarity from members within the PAICT Sub Branch.
