Collection Services Changes at Griffith base Hospital

NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) has proposed changes to pathology collection services at Griffith Base Hospital. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
  • The proposal is to trial a Saturday Pathology Collection Service beginning 3 August 2026 and operating for 6 months.
  • The Saturday shift would operate from 7am to 3:30pm and would be split into 2 parts: 7am-11am would be for collection services, and the remainder of the day would be allocated to support the Specimen Reception Area and managing and overflows.
  • To support this expansion, additional FTE positions have been approved across the laboratory collection centres.
