Switchboard Roster Changes at Cessnock District Hospital
Switchboard Roster Changes at Cessnock District Hospital
Thursday 5 March, 2026
A change to roster times for Administration staff in Switch at Cessnock District Hospital has been proposed by Hunter New England LHD (HNELHD). This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
The proposed change comes as a result of the changes to the award regarding 10-hour minimum breaks.
Currently, the roster does not allow for 10-hour breaks if a staff member works a morning shift preceded by an afternoon shift, so HNELHD wants to trial a new roster from 20 April 2026.
The proposed changes appear to be minor adjustments to the roster, but they may still have a significant impact on HSU members, so please share your thoughts.
It is important for union members to lead this discussion. Please send your feedback to restructure@hsu.asn.au by COB Thursday 12 March with subject line HNELHD Cessnock DH Switchboard Roster Changes.
