Hunter New England LHD - Single Digital Patient Record Rollout
Thursday 30 April, 2026
Hunter New England Local Health District has confirmed that the roll out of Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) will go-live across the entire District on 20 May 2026. This means that there will be one centralised digital system for patient records.
This is what the District has said so far:
- There will be no job losses at this point in time.
- Electronic data migration will occur up until the go-live date, paper files will need to be scanned into the system by the current medical records team.
- Training is being rolled out across the District. HSU members should not be expected to use the new system without adequate training. A training schedule has been requested to allow members to give their feedback.
HSU members are encouraged to give their feedback or concerns about how this will impact their work. Please email
restructure@hsu.asn.au no later than COB Thursday 7 May 2026.
For any questions or to find out more, please reach out to your HSU Organiser.
