Cultural Governance and Capability Team Introduction at Hunter New England LHD (HNELHD)

HNELHD has notified the HSU of its intention to introduce a new Cultural Governance & Capability (CG&C) team for the district. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
  • The proposal would include the addition of a new role as well as changes to existing roles within the Aboriginal Health Service.
  • Management claim the team would refresh ways of working and strengthen the system’s capacity to deliver high-quality, culturally safe care to Aboriginal communities across the district. The team would be responsible for coordinating a district wide approach to governance practices that acknowledges and respects cultural integrity and leadership.
