Dear member,
Members overwhelmingly responded to the survey seeking feedback on your experiences with shift work as part of the ‘go live’ support for Justice Health.
From the responses so far, there are clear and consistent themes and concerns coming through including:
- Lack of clear and consistent communication from Management
- Lack of clarity about roles, responsibilities and expectation for each team during ‘go live’ and hyper care period
- Understaffing and lack of resources to perform the work
- Concerns about the scalability of systems to manage the roll out at Hunter New England
- Work, Health and Safety concerns related to fatigue and excessive workloads
As a result, your delegates met with SDPRIA Executive and raised these concerns directly. Whilst the Executive acknowledged members’ efforts to date, they were unable to provide many answers to our concerns. However, they have committed to providing a further update on Friday.
A further members meeting has been arranged for TODAY to discuss our options and next steps, details below:
When: TODAY Thursday 16 April
Time: 4pm
If you are unable to attend but would like further information or have concerns, please contact your local delegate or HSU Organiser Brendan Roberts on 0425181361 or email ehealth.mbrs@hsu.asn.au.
Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
