Communications and Engagement Directorate Restructure at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN)

A restructure within the Communications and Engagement Directorate is being proposed by SCHN. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- The network claims that following a previous directorate restructure in 2022 and with the release of SCHN Strategic Plan 2023-2027, it has been identified that several positions are no longer functioning appropriately.
- The proposal would see vast changes to the current structure including significant job cuts, changes to position descriptions and reporting lines, and also the creation of a number of new positions. Even with the creation of new positions, overall FTE would be notably reduced.
- HSU is always concerned when job cuts are proposed, so it is vital we hear your feedback on this restructure proposal.
- The network has also provided an explanation as to how positions would be filled through various recruitment opportunities.
