Mental Health Service Restructure at Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN)

Dear member,
A restructure within Mental Health Services is being proposed by SCHN. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- In 2024, an interim Mental Health Leadership structure was implement for the service which included the creation of a number of new positions and updated staff reporting lines.
- In 2025, this structure was evaluated to determine whether it was meeting the intended objectives after some time had passed.
- To strengthen the structure, it is proposed to make a number of further changes including: establishing the Operations Manager as a permanent role rather than temporary, implement team leaders for each team within the service, and delete the Co-Head Allied Health Manager position which is currently vacant.
