CSSD Proposed Change at Maitland Hospital

A proposed change within Maitland Hospital’s CSSD is being proposed by Hunter New England LHD (HNELHD). This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
  • This change would involve the introduction of a night duty shift for Sterlisation Techs in PACU/DPU.
  • This proposal comes as a result of the recently added operating theatre which has increased overall surgical activity.
  • The District claim this increased throughput has increased pressure on CSSD, thus they state the creation of this extra shift is to assist with maintaining appropriate coverage.
