Paediatric Physiotherapy Changes at Maitland Hospital

Changes within Paediatric Physiotherapy at Maitland Hospital are being proposed by Hunter New England LHD (HNELHD). This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- The district has undergone a review of the current model of care and identified that there may be greater efficiencies available, despite currently operating under a smaller-scale model in comparison to other hospitals.
- The district wishes to engage in a further review to ensure that the Maitland Hospital has the most appropriate model of care, but in the meantime are proposing a temporary 3-month enhancement to the current model.
- This enhancement would have a dual focus: addressing the existing waitlist for the Maitland Hospital Paediatric Physiotherapy service and continuing to assess models of care both locally and across the District.
