Wednesday 8 April, 2026
Dear member,
HSU members working across Estia Health facilities in New South Wales have reported incorrect procedures around paid training. You are encouraged to give feedback about mandatory training requirements in your workplace by completing the short survey here. Did you know that under Clause 16 Learning and Professional Development of the Estia Health NSW Enterprise Agreement 2024: - “Wherever reasonably practicable, Estia Health will offer and Employees will complete all mandatory training and CPD “in house”, within ordinary rostered hours”.
- “For learning/training that is approved by the Employer to be completed outside of the Employee’s ordinary rostered hours, the Employee will be paid a minimum period as outlined in clause 21.1, Minimum Shift Length”.
If you suspect that you are not being rostered or paid correctly for mandatory training, please complete the survey AND contact your union Organiser or HSU delegate.
