Have Your Say: ACT Government's Latest Wages Offer

Today, the HSU was presented with the ACT Government’s latest wages proposal for the life of the next EBA. On 9 December 2025, the HSU received the Government’s first wage offer of 7% over the 3-year life of the agreement:
3% in the first year
2.5% in the second year
1.5% with a 0.5% increase in superannuation in the third and final year
This was knocked back by HSU members. On 11 March 2026, the Government wrote to the HSU with a new updated offer of 9% over the course of the 3-year agreement. This 9% offer is to be spread out over the life of the agreement with increases factored in every 6-months, as illustrated in the following table:

This increase in superannuation will raise the employer contribution from the current 12.5% to 13%. The offer letter also includes conditions that were offered to the parties in December 2025.
