HealthShare NSW Reasonable Travel Proposal – Patient Billing System
Tuesday 5 May, 2026
Dear member,
HealthShare NSW (HSNSW) has provided the HSU with a reasonable travel proposal for LHD transitioned staff working within the Patient Billing Standardisation Program (PBSP).
The proposal states that all staff will have a hybrid working arrangement, working from home and/or the Local Health District (LHD) office. However, staff in Metro sites and Hunter New England LHD will be required to attend a HSNSW office one day per week.
Key provisions to note from the proposal:
- The travel time will be limited to 60 minutes one way from home to HSNSW office.
- If your travel time exceeds 60 mins then you must discuss with your manager to reach an agreement on alternative options.
- Should a LHD change the current onsite arrangements, HealthShare will be revising the current provisions but working from home all the time will NOT be the solution.
