Laundry Allowance for Care Employees at Calvary Haydon

Dear member,
 
HSU members at Calvary Haydon have reported not being paid their laundry allowance.
 
  • The Calvary Retirement Communities Limited (Calvary Retirement Community Canberra) Aged Care Employees Enterprise Agreement 2019 provides for a laundry allowance to employees who are required to wear a uniform, but where that uniform is ‘not laundered at the expense of the employer’. 
     
  • Members at Calvary Haydon are required to wear a uniform and therefore should be receiving the laundry allowance.
     
  • No laundry allowance on your payslip? Please provide a copy to your delegate Amandeep so that this can be raised with HR/payroll for correction and potential backpay!
