HSNSW has notified the HSU of proposed changes to laundry services and the provision of high-use items. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.

• HSNSW states that in anticipation of the increased ordering for high-use items during the winter period, select “customers” would be transitioned from their current laundry to an alternative HSNSW laundry.
• HSNSW claims this would have no impact on staffing, but rather just optimise capacity across the laundries and ensure they can effectively keep up with winter ordering.
• The attached documentation outlines the specifics of the changes, and HSNSW claims these changes would decrease double handling, provide better truck routes for drivers, and result in less reliance on external laundries.
• The impacted sites are:
  • Parramatta Linen Services (PLS)
  • Orange Linen Services (OLS)
  • Wagga Wagga Linen Services (WLS)
  • Newcastle Linen Services (NLS)
  • Tamworth Linen Services (TLS)
