HSU members have spoken, and the NSW Government is listening!
Yesterday, HSU delegates represented members at Bathurst, Bloomfield and Orange Hospitals at an NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Public-Private Partnerships in NSW Health.
Your Delegates bravely shared their personal stories of Downer Group’s bullying, micromanagement, inaction on WHS issues, inability to resolve staffing shortages, and poor transparency. The Local Health District also sent representatives, who did not present a plan to resolve these critical issues that have been raised multiple times, over many years.
Following the advocacy of HSU Delegates, the Minister for Health, Ryan Park, has reached out to invite HSU members to meet with him on Wednesday 3rd June 2026.
HSU members will now have the opportunity to speak with the principal decision maker for the NSW Government. However, HSU members are calling for action, not attention. HSU members need meaningful change.
