Pharmacy Temporary Changes at Ryde Hospital

Northern Sydney LHD (NSLHD) has notified the HSU of its intention to implement a temporary winter weekend service within the Pharmacy department. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- The district plans to introduce a weekend service from 4 July 2026 for a period of 15 weeks, consistent with previous years.
- The model would operation on an ‘opt-in’ basis whereby permanent and casual staff within the department may nominated weekend shifts they are willing to work. In circumstances where there are no nominations, the service would not run on that particular weekend.
- Whilst not explicitly mentioned in the consultation documentation, staff that work shifts on the weekend should be entitled to applicable shift work/weekend penalties within the award.
