Providing Statutory Declarations at Arcare Aranda: Yes You Can!

HSU members at Arcare Aranda have reported that the previous management refused to accept Statutory Declarations (Stat Decs) as reasonable evidence in support of personal leave absences – sick and carers leave.
 
Know your rights:
  • Stat Decs are well recognised as satisfactory evidence
  • Your Enterprise Agreement outlines your entitlement to use a Stat Dec
  • The National Employment Standards confirms your entitlement to provide a Stat Dec

Has your personal leave been declined when using a Stat Dec?

  • Email HR and request the reason why this has happened
  • Request payment of your personal leave be made in the next pay run
  • Keep your Organiser updated
