St Vincent’s Healthcare Bargaining Update

Dear member.
 
Your HSU bargaining team recently met with St Vincent’s Healthcare Australia (SVHA) representatives. While progress has been made on several key issues, further discussions will be required before any agreement can be reached.
 
SVHA has proposed that the next bargaining meeting occur in five weeks’ time and have committed to providing a response to all HSU claims at that meeting.
 
SVHA has put forward the following positions:
  • Revised wages claim of 6%, 3.25% and 3.25% each year of the agreement.
  • Commitment to pay backpay to January 2026.
  • Consideration for the introduction of a Nauseous Linen Allowance and a Decontaminated Instruments Allowance. 

Your organiser will be on site in the coming weeks to discuss potential next steps and how we can continue to build pressure for a fair outcome if SVHA does not provide substantive responses to HSU claims at the next meeting.
