Payroll System Update at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney (SVHS)
Tuesday 30 June, 2026
SVHS has notified the HSU of the proposed payroll system transition from Kronos to UKG Pro. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- Management claim this update would significantly improve scheduling and payroll. Management state the system would allow staff to access the app through their phone or computer to view their schedules, swap shifts (with approval), view available shifts as casuals/part-time staff, view timecards, and apply for leave in an easy way.
- Management also advise that there would be a one-off change to the pay cycle, meaning that between September 7 and September 13, staff will have the opportunity to access a $1,000 payroll loan payment if they have any concerns regarding their ability to meet individual financial commitments, which would then be recovered within the following two pay periods. This will be managed slightly differently for St Vincent’s Correctional Health Service employees at the Parklea facility.
- There are some initial concerns regarding difficulties that may arise, and further detail is available in the attached links.
