Heart Lung Service Restructure at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney (SVHS)

A restructure within the Heart Lung Service is being proposed by SVHS. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- SVHS is proposing the introduction of 0.84 FTE Administration Officer to support activities within the service, specifically to provide admin support for the Transplant Workup Coordinator and assist in managing patients.
- Management claim this change would reduce the admin burden on clinical staff, enabling the Clinical Nurse Specialists and Coordinators to dedicate more time to direct patient care, patient education, care planning, and coordination.
- The consultation paper outlines a number of further changes to the model, primarily impacting nursing staff.
