Tricare Meeting: Member Update!
Tuesday 23 June, 2026
Members working across multiple TriCare facilities shared similar concerns regarding their pay, workload, staffing levels and resident care, and have resolved to take their concerns to CEO, Davida Webb!
Delegates will be requesting an urgent meeting to discuss:
- Removal of the uniform allowance
- Unpaid mandatory training
- Pay queries being ignored or left unresolved
- Annual and personal leave deductions exceeding the amount of leave e.g. 7.5 hours deducted when only 7 hours of leave was used)
- Ongoing short staffing
- Care workers undertaking tasks that are not direct care (e.g. kitchen and cleaning duties)
- Not replacing or delays in replacing unplanned absences
- Lack of training in some areas of care
What’s next:
In preparation to meet with the CEO, members are encouraged to:
- Take notes of workplace issues (including dates and times)
- Save copies of payslips, rosters and other relevant documents
The more evidence we gather, the stronger our collective voice will be!
Together, we can hold TriCare accountable and advocate for safe staffing, fair pay and quality care for residents.
