Blue Mountains and Springwood Changes at Nepean Blue Mountains LHD (NBMLHD)
Dear member,
NBMLHD has notified the HSU of planned refurbishment work at Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital (BMDAMH) which is anticipated to commence on 24 March 2026. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- Management claim the upgrades to the hospital have been prioritised through consultation with hospital staff and clinicians, and involve ED improvements, enhancements to Ambulatory Care services, refurbishment of East Wing Wards, and various other building improvements and repairs.
- Management have advised that during this period there may be a need for operational changes across BMDAMH and Springwood Hospitals, including changes to work locations and patient service.
- The planned works are anticipated to be completed within 20 weeks from the start date, and further consultation is now underway regarding the preparation for scheduled works.
- Your HSU Sub-branch and local organiser recently had a productive meeting with management who have committed to working with the HSU throughout this process.
