Food Services – Draft Proposed Roster

Earlier this year HSU members in Food Services at Maitland Hospital overwhelmingly called for a new roster. We are now pleased to say that, in a short amount of time, HealthShare management have worked diligently to provide the attached DRAFT PROPOSAL for members consideration. The unconfirmed minutes from the last USCC held on 5 May are also attached.

Main points for members information:
- Drop down roster
- Reduction in rostering of seven consecutive days
- Period of four consecutive weekends on, occurs once every 10 months
From here, HSU delegates and Organiser will be speaking with members and gathering feedback. If the prosed roster goes ahead, it will look to be on a trial basis for three months, with a possible extension. Please keep in mind this is a proposed draft, and no go live date or trial date has been confirmed. Once consensus has been reached by members, HSU members will know next steps.
The proposed draft only affects members who are full time or on 32 hours per week contracts.
