Contents of below poster -

Members across NSW, ACT and QLD shared their vision for a better Aged Care system by completing a sector-wide union survey. Workplace deletes met to discuss the survey results at a Planning Day to determine the next HSU campaigns for better wages and conditions.

Main Takeaways -

Leave - Aged care in 2030 must deliver fair and enforceable leave, including portable long service leave, to support retention and workplace sustainability.

Pay - Aged care in 2030 must deliver fair, secure and permanent wages for all workers - including support services - that properly recognise skill, experience and responsibility across the workplace.

Staffing - Aged care in 2030 requires safe, enforceable staffing levels with transparent reporting of care minutes to ensure accountability and consistent, dignified care.

Training - Aged care in 2030 depends on paid, high-quality training that supports workers to upskills and progress in long-term careers in the sector.

Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
