Procurement, Contracts, Supply (PCS) Services Restructure at Sydney LHD (SLHD)

Dear member,
A restructure within Procurement, Contracts, Supply (PCS) Services within District Finance is being proposed by SLHD. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- Management claim this proposed change comes as a result of system changes which will significantly increase the workload attributed to standard requisitions across the District.
- The proposal has been endorsed by the Chief Executive and would see the FTE for Procurement Officers (GA6) be increased from 0.6 to 3.6, but also the removal of 3 FTE existing Procurement Clerks (AO2).
- The HSU is always very concerned with a proposal which involves job cuts, and in this case we are further concerned about what is explained by the District as a significant increase in workload, potentially without an enhancement to total staffing.
