Refurbishment Update at Blue Mountains Hospital

Nepean Blue Mountains LHD (NBMLHD) has notified the HSU of some practical impacts of the current refurbishment works at Blue Mountains hospital. This is your opportunity to have a say on how this affects you.
- Management have advised that the current hospital lift will be replaced and out of action between 22 June and 4 September 2026. Stair access will not be impacted during this time.
- During this time, there will be no lift access between Ground Floor and Level 1 which will impact staff, patients, and visitors.
- The district advises that signage will be in place to assist with wayfinding and directing people to alternative access points, with encouragement to enter the hospital via one of the Level 1 entrances if required.
