Underpayment at Estia Tuncurry

Underpayment at Estia Tuncurry

Monday 1 December, 2025

HSU members at Estia Tuncurry noticed inconsistencies with how they were paid for mandatory training and minimum start. Members raised their concerns with HSU Organiser Karen Wiles who agreed their employer owed them money. This highlights the importance of checking and understanding your payslip.

Senior management have been contacted about the underpayment and have advised that they are conducting an audit of all allowances of staff.

The following information is sought:
  • Completion date of the audit & how many staff are impacted over what timeframe?
  • How the underpayment occurred?
  • When owed money will be paid?
For any questions or to find out more, please reach out to your HSU Organiser  karen.wiles@hsu.asn.au  or your Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.
