Respect Cooinda: Back Pay Won

Respect Cooinda: Back Pay Won

Friday 13 March, 2026

HSU Support Services members at Respect Cooinda have finally won back pay after the Work Value Case increases were not applied correctly.

This win follows months of discussions with Respect to get them to do an audit and recognise their mistake. Well done to all members involved!

  • An underpayment of 14 cents an hour has occurred since 1 January 2025.
  • Back pay will occur in the next pay run.
  • Check your pay slip to ensure you have been paid.

Although the underpayment was not large, it was money that workers had earned. You deserve to be paid correctly for every cent you work for.

For any questions or to find out more, please reach out to your HSU Organiser/Delegate or your Member Services Division on 1300 478 679.
