GSO Pay Correction at Opal Marsden Park

GSO Pay Correction at Opal Marsden Park

Wednesday 26 November, 2025

HSU members at Marsden Park employed as GSOs raised concerns over their pay rates varying among one another. Their rates were below the Aged Care Award and other Opal sites.

  • An audit was requested and conducted and found 16 team members were incorrectly classified.
  • Changes to classifications and pay rate occurred in the last pay run.
  • Back payment will occur in the next pay run on Thursday, 4 December 2025.

This is a terrific outcome that would not have occurred if it weren’t for HSU members standing together.
