Uniting – Issues With New Pay System

Uniting – Issues With New Pay System

Wednesday 29 April, 2026

Dear member,

Uniting’s first pay run under their new HRIS system was processed last week with many staff having issues with incorrect payments. All staff are advised to check their pay slips for any discrepancies to the hours they worked.

HSU members have raised concerns with Uniting, and they have responded with the following.

  • Staff should raise issues with their manager or local administrator in the first instance.
  • Where an issue cannot be resolved at the above level, payroll adjustment queries should be raised via Uniting’s Employee Services hub.
  • Tickets will then be prioritised and dealt with in the following order
    • Category 1 - missing more than 50% of pay
    • Category 2 - missing 25-50% of pay
    • Category 3 - missing less than 25% of pay
    • Category 4 - non pay related issues

Uniting has also informed us:

  • They have already started making payments to affected staff and will continue to do so.
  • Where discrepancy types are identified they will address with employees even if a query has not been raised.
  • If staff have incurred costs due to the delayed payments (overdue fees or charges) submit evidence to payroll for reimbursement of out-of-pocket costs.

Do you know someone who isn’t an HSU member? Encourage them to join our Union today and have a say at work. We are always stronger when we stand together.
